My photos of my day from Thunder Bay, Ontario to Marathon, Ontario Canada
August 11 2007
To all my friends,
I left Thunder Bay, Ontario this morning and I ended up staying the night in Marathon, Ontario. I am a little more than half way around Lake Superior on the Ontario Canada side of the lake. The road that we are traveling on is highway 17 and it is the last major east-west road that runs across Ontario Canada. There are very few roads that go north of highway 17 and if you can find one it will just end.
The gas station people told my dad that all there is north of highway 17 is wilderness, moose, trees and mountains and that the province of Ontario owns it all.
Today I visited the Eagle Canyon Suspension Footbridge in Dorion Ontario Canada. The bridge was very shaky and very high up. There were two footbridges and my dad and I went across both of them several times. My mom would not cross either one of them.
I also visited the Aguasabon River Gorge and Falls at Terrace Bay Ontario Canada and I went to the Neys Provincial Park in Ontario Canada and had a picnic dinner there.
The weather was cool and sometimes rainy today.
I traveled 211 miles today.
