My photos of my day from Sault Ste. Marie, MI to Gladstone, Michigan
August 13-14 2007
To all my friends,
On Monday August 13th I visited the Soo Locks in Sault Ste. Marie, MI. I got to watch the lock be flooded so that a big ship could be lifted up by the rising water in the lock so it could go into Lake Superior.
I also visited Mackinac Island. I got to ride in a ferry to and from the island. There are no cars on the island so everyone walks, rides a bike or rides in a horse driven carriage. You had to be careful not to step in the horse manure in the streets.
After I visited Mackinac Island I got to see the Mackinac Bridge that crosses the Straits of Mackinac. Lake Michigan is on the west side and Lake Huron is on the east side of the Mackinac Bridge.
I stayed the night in Gladstone, Michigan located in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan on this day.
I traveled 205 miles on this day.On Tuesday August 14th I left Gladstone, Michigan at 10:20 a.m. eastern time and I returned home at 2:04 a.m. on Wednesday August 15th.
I traveled 826 miles on this day.
I traveled 2521 miles on this trip.
