Photos of my Duluth, Minnesota vacation
August 10th thru 15th 2008
On Sunday, August 10th I played a softball game at the Special Olympics softball tournament in Columbia. Then we left home at 10:20 a.m. and I arrived in Duluth, Minnesota at 9:30 p.m.
I traveled 639 miles on this day.
On Monday, August 11th I went shopping in Superior, Wisconsin for my picnic lunch and then we went to the Kitchi-Gammi Park at Brighton Beach on Lake Superior and I cooked hamburgers and roasted marshmallows. I had fun throwing rocks into the lake. It was very cool and windy on the lake this evening. I had to wear a jacket. On this morning it was 49 degrees.
On Tuesday, August 12th I went walking in Duluth on the Downtown Skywalk. The Downtown Skywalk is an enclosed walkway from building to building throughout downtown Duluth. It rained most of this day.
On Wednesday, August 13th I went to the Kitchi-Gammi Park at Brighton Beach on Lake Superior and I BBQ'ed hamburgers and brauts and throwed rocks into the lake. It was calm when we got there and then later in the day fog and cool winds moved in from the lake. Then we went to the town of Two Harbors, 21 miles north of Duluth on highway 61 north. I saw the Two Harbors lighthouse there.
On Friday, August 15th I left Duluth, MN at 9:08 a.m. and we returned home at 8:48 p.m.
